President’s Report 15 April 2018

Hi All.

Well, we are half way through April and have successfully run our Car Show together with R.C. Bunyip
Garfield last Sunday. I think everyone is very pleased with the great result. A big thank you to everyone
who helped on the day, making this a success. The Car Show Committee has asked for suggestions to
improve the day. Please put any of your ideas you have to improving this event to our secretary Grant.
Alan did a great job running our community dance, filling in for Ian.

The District Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) sessions started on Saturday with some of our Members
attending at Nossal High School Berwick. It is not too late to get involved as this course can be started
and completed in the future at your own pace. The Courses are fun, topical, interactive, and geared
towards the modern Rotarian’s busy schedule.

The Epilepsy Essentials Education meeting night we had together with the Inner Wheel Club of
Pakenham was well attended with over forty participants. Our presenter Louise Nicholas gave a very
informative and educational session on the various signs and symptoms of Epilepsy and how to
administer the best first aid. For more information about this, their web site is :-
https://www.epilepsy.org.au .

I look forward to seeing you all next Tuesday to hear Councilor Michael Schilling – Cardinia Shire Youth
Councilor Program Coordinator.

Lastly, the Inner Wheel Convention held in Melbourne was a great success with some of our Rotarians
also attending.

Yours in Rotary,

Greg Peck
