President’s Report Jan 6th.
Hi All,
Welcome to 2018. As you are reading this I know that you have survived the Christmas and New Year activities, and are looking forward to another exciting year.
It is with sadness that we were informed of the passing away of Con Boon. We all pass on our condolences to John and Helen and family. Ken has done a brief eulogy, which is below.
I am looking forward to our first meeting in Rotary Park next Tuesday and catching up with everybody. I have had a great response from the memorial plaque recipient families and our Honorary Members with most attending. I have also invited other past Pakenham Rotarians who will be joining us.
The Rotary Wheel is always turning, even though we are in the holiday season. We have received an email via Roger asking us to support Schools in Balibo, one of the poorest areas in Timor Leste. See details below in a separate section. We supported this last year at this time, and I am sure we can help again this year.
Our Trailer Raffle was drawn, congratulations to the winner.
