ROTARY CLUB OF ORBOST - ANNUAL FISHING WEEKEND
Friday 20th April - Sunday 22nd April, 2018.
(Optional extra day, Thursday 19th April)
Venue - The Corringle Slips Camping Area, 14km south of Orbost, a natural bushland camping area, sheltered by coastal sand dunes, adjacent to the Snowy River estuary, with boats moored only a few metres from the camp. Basic facilities, - pit toilets are part of the camping area; the Rotary Club organises the water supply, electric lighting, a hot shower, and washing facilities.
Accommodation
(a) - caravans provided by Rotarians and friends for the weekend, (approx. 20 caravan beds),
OR
- BYO tent and stretcher/mattress, or camper trailer, van etc (cost reduction). *participants need to bring their own sleeping bag & pillow,
(c) - a large marquee is used for meals and socialising,
(d) - all meals are provided.
Fishing - in private boats skippered by Rotarians and helpers; in the estuary only; Saturday, am / pm, and Sunday, am; all fish caught are equally shared among visitors to take home; bait and fishing gear are provided (bring your own favourite fishing gear if you wish).
General Program - * Friday – arrival, settle in, possible surf fishing, evening meal in the marquee, allocation to boats, instructions, fellowship.
*Saturday – early breakfast; serious fishing in the estuary; 12.00noon – lunch; pm – fishing, relaxing; 7.00pm dinner, entertainment, prizes, fellowship.
*Sunday – breakfast, not quite so early; fishing; 1.00pm lunch, distribution of the catch, depart for home at your leisure.
Optional Extra Day.
*Thursday afternoon arrival, dinner and informal meeting with Rotarians and partners in the marquee; Friday – unstructured – opportunity for surf fishing (own surf fishing gear needed), walks, visit Marlo, fish from the bank, meals provided.
Cost - $420-00. ($380-00 with own tent etc.) (Optional extra day - $460 -00 /$420 own tent.)
Children are welcome with you – cost $170 per child.
Deposit - $100 – 00, non- refundable after acceptance.
