President’s Report 21-04-2018.

Last week we had the most amazing speakers demonstrate to us that the youth of Pakenham, have so   much to offer. Cr Michael Shilling Cardinia Youth Support Program and Kurt Caddy a Cardinia Youth Councillor showed us how some of our youth are making, Pakenham and Cardinia Shire a better place. They outlined many of the programs and support agencies in the Shire particularly the facility “My Place”.  

The Joker is still safely in the pack with Ken missing out on a Double Act by winning twice.

Last week Ian, Alan and I met Lachlan from Dulux Paints at Millhaven Lodge, where we placed a plaque acknowledging Dulux Paints support for Rotary’s painting project at Millhaven.

Thank you Allan and John A. for setting up and running the “Together We Can” BBQ at the community hall last Monday,  and also thank you Roger, for representing Pakenham Rotary Club by picking up desks for DIK.

    

I would like to thank everyone in advance who is volunteering to helping with the ANZAC Dawn Service breakfast. This is one of our signature events, where we show how proficient we are in preparing egg and bacon rolls for everyone attending the dawn service.

Well, my Rotary Down Under magazine is still in its wrapper, so I am now going to read about International Women’s Day and other interesting stuff.
