President’s report 28 Jan 2018

Last Tuesdays we had Darleen Miles & Sally Dawson from Pakenham Consolidated School talking about their new Hands on Project. This project is aimed at selected year 4 and 5 students, as it helps them re-focus. The students will be out of the formal class room and working on a ‘learning by doing’ theme.

Geoff Young missed the Joker, so our Jackpot is looking better all the time.

I received an email from Ian Riseley covering various things that we need to know in 2018. One item mentioned is the $4 per year increase to our dues. This was based on a five-year financial forecast that predicted that if Rotary didn’t either raise dues or make drastic cuts, its reserves would dip below mandated levels by 2020.
There are many other items covered which I will mention in the future.
I am looking forward to seeing you all at the Rotary Club of Bunyip Garfield next Wednesday for a friendly game of Bowls
Regards to all,

Greg
