Hello to Everybody.

It’s Sunday morning and I have just made a cup of coffee and am trying to work out what I am to write about this week before I attend a family commitment. Today also District Conference is being held at Berwick. We all look forward to being informed about all the new initiatives being generated and discussed at next Tuesday service meeting.

Tom Vernham spoke at last week’s meeting about his survival from abuse.  He was a very emotional and moving speaker with many questions being raised. The message I took home was ‘be a Survivor not a Victim’.

Once again we went through the Joker's Wild segment and to the happiness of everyone else Sam was unable to find the Joker, so the jackpot grows even larger.

The Gun fire breakfast went as planned. A big thank you to Terry and every-one that supported this important event, demonstrating first hand how Rotary is supporting our community. It must have gone well as we received an invitation from the Pakenham R.S.L to an evening with Michael C Madden, author of The Victoria Cross Australia Remembers. (More information about this is below.)

Members please note. If you would like to be more involved with in the running of our club, or take on a more active roll, please talk to Goran or myself.

I am looking forward to seeing you all at our next Service meeting.

Yours in Rotary,

Greg
