OK so last week we had several visitors who talked to us and the first was Harpreet Singh who came back to ask us to support the SIKH temple and vote for it in the State Goverment PICK MY PROJECT grants.
Then we were introduced to a visiting Rotarian from Zimbabwe in Grace Dzwairo
Then we had Guest Speakers from the Magical Getaway Foundation in Rosemary Teed who told us about what has been going on since her last visit back in November
Accompanying Rosemary was Teague Rook who told us about the Family Holiday to Lorne that they provided to a Single Mum and her four Boys. Teague also presented the Club with a Certificate of Appreciation for our support.
It was amazing to see how much it meant to this family to actually have a holiday even if it rained for most of the week while they were down at Lorne.
Of course everyone one was happy when the Joker did not make it on to the Train and our Greg Peck missed out, so the pot still grows.
Glad to see Greg smiling with out the Joker in his hand.
Well that is a brief summary of last week session except to say that once again Sam filled in for Sir Graeme and did a great job of running the fines session even to the point of standing up on the stage so we could actually see him and increasing the coffers by at least $10. Well done Sam!!!!!!!!
